What’s more, the whole track audaciously dissolves into silence mid way through before exploding back into life via a descending analog synth line. Alex has fused the best of both old and new that leaves behind rigid sound in favor of funkier, warmer latelh totally fresh vibes. A,ex keeps it up to date and convinces with deepness, forward-thinking grooves and clarinets that reflect his charm.
For me, a ‘mixtape’ was always about that; trying to avoid obvious changes and create a fusion between songs, keeping the same mood, so the listener doesn’t hear a new song coming in, but realizes after a few minutes that there was a change.
